Calidad ambiental de interiores
The modification of the Regulation of Thermal Installations in Buildings (RITE) requires compliance with UNE 171330 in installations with more than 70Kw. Indoor air quality is one of the main health risks identified by the World Health Organization (WHO). On April 5, 2013, Royal Decree 238/2013 was approved, which implied the modification of several articles and technical instructions of 1027/2007, of July 20, which approved RITE.
Among all the modifications included, one of the most striking, which has perhaps gone unnoticed by many companies, is the inclusion of the "Annual Review of Indoor Air Quality according to UNE 171330" for buildings with thermal installations with a working power of more than 70 KW. This is included in the IT technical instruction. Maintenance and Use, in section IT3.3 Preventive Maintenance Program.
Indoor environment quality began to be cited as a problem in the late 1960s.
In industrialized countries today, city dwellers spend 60-80% of their time indoors, so poor indoor air quality can seriously affect people.
The UNE 171330:2008 standard defines Indoor Environmental Quality as the environmental conditions of indoor spaces, suitable for the user and the activity, defined by the levels of chemical and microbiological contamination and by the values of the physical factors.
The objective of the UNE 100012 of Hygiene of air conditioning systems is to evaluate the hygiene of ventilation and air conditioning systems. To this end, assessment criteria, decontamination (sanitization) criteria and validation criteria (effectiveness) for the hygienic quality of the HVAC system have been developed.
UNE 171330 on Indoor Environmental Quality establishes requirements for an Indoor Environment Quality Management System. Its field of application is the interior environments of all types of enclosures, installations and buildings, except those that are exclusively used for industrial and/or agricultural processes.
SANITIZATION OF DUCTS AND PIPES
The purpose of sanitization is to remove contaminants and dirt deposits that are present, visibly or not, in the system. It consists of carrying out a cleaning process and may, only in those cases where it is prescribed, be accompanied by a disinfection process.
